How to use FTP Explorer

Once a person has downloaded and installed FTP Explorer, here is how to configure it. This is the configuration screen:

This is a common configuration setup, however, you should check with your local internet service provider to find out what settings are required to access your account.

All files have to go in that public_html directory or they can't be seen to the outside world.

HTM or HTML files go across as ASCII (that is the big "A" on the toolbar) and all picture files (JPG or GIF) go across as binary (that is the big "B" at the end of the toolbar).

To transfer them from your local system (your hard drive) to the remote system (the server), just drag and drop your files from your desktop (or wherever you have them). Then push refresh.

NOTE: Auxillary accounts (additional email accounts) DO NOT have a directory on the server. Only the main accounts have an FTP directory.
