Click here to do a Norton Virus Check. There are many virus's that come in thru email. You should alway run virus protection software on your computer and update the virus definitions at least once a month.
One virus that is extremely prevelent amongst our customers right now is: W32.Sircam.Worm@mm
This will come as an email from someone who has your email address in their address book. They don't know this is being sent out. It will have various Subjects but the email itself will ALWAYS read like this:
Hi! How are you?
I send you this file in order to have your advice
See you later. Thanks
It will always have a file attachment and the attachment names will change.
DON'T OPEN THAT ATTACHMENT!!! That is the virus. If you don't have virus protection on your computer - you need to get it. If you have virus protection and you don't update it weekly - it is not doing you any good.
This virus is referred to as the W32.Sircam.Worm@mm worm virus.
This is a HIGH RISK virus that is spread to email recipients found in the Windows Address Book and addresses found in cached files. The infected email can come from addresses that you recognize. Attached is a file with two different extensions. The file name itself varies.
Due to what appears to be a bug, this worm does not replicate under Windows NT or 2000.
We recommend that you update your anti-virus software to give you protection from any new virus threats. After doing so, we recommend scanning your hard drive for viruses.

2) Display of the "~Fun Loving Criminal~" Message.
3) The existence of the file FLCSS.EXE in the Windows system folder.
4) Activity on both local hard disks and over the network as the virus looks for new victims to infect.
5) Certified ActiveX controls give a warning that the signature no longer matches the file.
